FAMILY BUSINESS Strictly bosses replace axed Brendan Cole with AJ Pritchard’s hunky little brother

There are plans to get Curtis Pritchard – who is 6ft2 – signed up for this year’s show after fears of a lack of tall male pros

STRICTLY’S Brendan Cole could be replaced by AJ Pritchard’s younger brother for this year’s series of the hit dance show.

Bosses are believed to have settled on Curtis Pritchard, 20, as good fit to fill the hole left by the well-loved professional after deciding there were lack of tall dancers.

Curtis – who is 6ft2 – is one inch taller than Brendan, and also has six inches on his older brother AJ, 23, who was last year partnered to Mollie King, 30.

A source told the Sunday People: “With a distinct lack of tall male dancers to fill Brendan’s shoes, Strictly had a tough job on their hands.

“But they’ve now found the perfect fit in Curtis. He may be AJ’s younger brother but he’s certainly not
smaller than his 5ft 7in stature, which means he could be partnered with the taller women celebrities.”

The talented brothers started dancing at a young age at their parent’s dance school, Pritchard’s Dance and Fitness Academy, in Cheshire.

Curtis exoplained: “I got into dancing through my parents .
“But what got me seriously in to it was when dad would take me to major competitions he judged. Seeing professionals dance was my biggest inspiration.”

His brother joined Strictly in 2016, and has been partnered up with gymnast Chloe Frangapane and as well as Mollie.

During last year’s series, his close friendship with the singer sparked rumours they were dating.’

The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed that the pair were caught snogging during training for the show, with their secret romance the talk of backstage.

Neither has ever said they are dating and AJ came out to again state they are not seeing each other.

Speaking to Metro he said: “No, we’re not an item, but we’re friends for life.”

However, on February 13, 2018 former Strictly pro Branden Cole fuelled the speculation further by telling The Sun that they did get together on the show.

AJ’s brother is in a relationship with dancer Emily Barker, 19.

She has been touted to replace Chloe Hewitt, who is AJ’s pro dance partner.

The pair appeared on the seventh series of ITV talent show Britain’s Got Talent together.
