VIDEO: Marc Jacobs proposes to boyfriend at NYC Chipotle with a flash mob | CCTV News
Would you like a rock with that?
Fashion designer Marc Jacobs chose a less than fashionable spot to propose to his beau Charly DeFrancesco — a Chipotle.
Jacobs, 54, used a flash mob performance to lead into his moment of popping the big question in front of a Chipotle garbage bin at one of the Mexican fast food chain’s Manhattan locations.
“And, this happened…’Charly Defrancesco will you marry me’? #flashmobatchipotle #moves THANK YOU, everyone, for making this happen,” the designer wrote in the caption of the video documenting the whole encounter.
“And to my Ride or Die fiancé @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU??” he continued.
DeFrancesco said “yes” repeatedly and had to sit on a Chipotle chair to regroup after he was asked to wed his love, the video shows.
On his own Instagram, DeFrancesco captioned the video: “Get ready for the all time gag.”
The flash mob performed a dance to Prince’s “Kiss” before Jacobs dropped to one knee.
The video was shared on DeFrancesco’s birthday Wednesday. Jacobs also shared a second post wishing his now fiancé a “happy birthday,” calling him the love of his life.
DeFrancesco, a model, actor and candle-maker behind the brand “Get Lit by Char,” lives with Jacobs in the West Village. The couple has reportedly been dating for at least two years.
Jacobs split from his porn star boyfriend Harry Louis in 2013.
